Ann C. Bertino is a founding partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Pellis Law Group, LLP. She handles a broad array of day-to-day issues with a keen focus on making the firm both successful and a great place to work. Ann leads the effort to foster our team’s cohesiveness, establish and maintain the firm’s best practices, and ensure that our clients’ focus remains on delivering the highest quality legal services.

Ann has over 20 years of experience in employee benefits law. She has advised local, national, and multinational plan sponsors on a full range of employee benefits throughout her career. Ann has also advised plan fiduciaries and service providers on design and administrative issues relating to qualified retirement plans, medical plans, and other welfare benefit plans. She has extensive experience assisting clients with the resolution of plan deficiencies through the Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service voluntary correction programs and in obtaining guidance on their behalf from regulatory agencies. Further, she has performed due diligence on benefits issues involved with mergers and acquisitions on behalf of various corporate entities.
Before co-founding the Pellis Law Group, Ann practiced at several notable law firms, including the Washington, D.C. office of Connerton, Ray & Simon, the Washington, D.C. office of Reish & Luftman, and the Pittsburgh Office of Reed Smith.
