Meet Our Team

Emily is Pellis Law Group’s Law Clerk. In this role, she assists attorneys with complex commercial litigation and risk management matters from inception to resolution.

Emily completed her undergraduate education at Elmhurst College in 2011, graduating with cum laude honors. She graduated from College of DuPage’s Paralegal Studies Program with academic honors in 2014. Emily earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2022 while working full-time as a Paralegal. She was selected to receive the Dean’s Scholarship Award in 2018 and the Diversity Scholarship Foundation Award in 2022. She also earned the top-grade accolade in her Real Estate Litigation course.

Prior to joining Pellis Law Group, Emily gained ten years of practical experience as a Litigation Paralegal. She assisted in the representation of families throughout divorce and child custody proceedings before shifting to focus on personal injury matters, including, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, product liability, birth injury, and toxic tort litigation. She acquired valuable experience preparing for and attending multiple trials. Additionally, she assisted individuals facing housing discrimination with the UIC Law Fair Housing Clinic.

Emily brings a natural professionalism, hardworking nature, and a commitment to ongoing learning to Pells Law Group’s practice. Outside of the office, Emily is involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and enjoys time with family, travel, and reading.
