Meet Our Team

Jacob is an associate in Pellis Law Group’s Chicago-area office. His interest in tackling complex procedural and evidentiary questions of law makes Jacob a perfect fit for the commercial and insurance litigation space, where such issues can often be outcome-determinative. Jacob recognizes that PLG clients look to our attorneys for individually tailored strategies and solutions when time is of the essence and thus takes pride in efficiently providing thorough research and analysis.

Jacob completed his undergraduate education at Indiana University. Prior to enrolling in law school, Jacob was a paralegal for a civil litigation firm in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He credits this experience, which required attention to detail and adaptability in working with various work styles, as being highly influential on how he approaches professional practice.

During his time at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Jacob honed his research and writing abilities as the Executive Managing Director of the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review. His law review article, which analyzed international approaches to increasing employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, was published in the Fall 2022 issue of the Ind. Int’l & Compar. L. Rev. Jacob was also a semi-finalist in his law school’s moot court competition and a member of the school’s Appellate Clinic, where he represented indigent clients in front of the Indiana Court of Appeals.

Jacob gained practical experience as an Extern Law Clerk with the Indiana Court of Appeals and as a Summer Law Clerk for the Superior and Circuit Courts of Huntington County, Indiana. He also worked as a summer associate for an employment litigation boutique in Indianapolis, where he played an integral role in a lawsuit that secured federal unemployment benefits for families in the State of Indiana during the COVID-19 pandemic.
